This morning (afternoon) we got up and made our way to Doughnut Plant near Chinatown. Andrew and I actually went here the last time we were in New York, but it’s totally worth another visit. Sadly, our otherwise excellent visit was marred by the above doughnut carnage.
Melissa, Elise, Jen, Evan, Andrew, Brad, and I all met up in the chilly weather to try the many exotic doughnut flavors.
I sure love me some doughnuts. My first (yes, there were multiples) was a passion fruit doughnut. It was VERY passion fruity and pretty sweet, but as you can see in the above photo, I enjoyed myself.
Andrew got a blueberry doughnut (because he loves blueberries) and it was seriously one of the most beautiful doughnuts I have ever seen in my life. It was pretty good too. Lots of natural blueberry flavor.
But the best part of our visit to Doughnut Plant today was that for the first time in over a year and a half, Melissa, Jen, Elise, and I were all together again!
The rest of our day wasn’t too shabby either, but this was certainly a pretty good way to kick it off. I’m excited for the continued food adventures of tomorrow!
