Tonight at dinner I ate an enormous plate of kale. Also a small piece of kielbasa. I wonder how many times I’m going to post pictures of kale this year.
This is the dinner that almost wasn’t. It took me almost an hour to grill that kielbasa because first I waited 20 minutes for the grill to heat up before realizing the grill wasn’t plugged in (it’s an electric grill in case you were wondering). Then it took me another 20 minutes to realize the grill was plugged in, but not plugged in all the way, so it wasn’t actually turning on. Finally, I got it to heat up and then left the kielbasa on the grill so long that I sort of burnt it. Right.
The kale chips on the other hand were amazing. A quick rub with some olive oil, plus a sprinkle of sea salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and into the oven they went. My condo here has a convection oven, so 15 minutes in a 350° oven and I had a giant plateful of awesome.
It then took me an hour and half to actually finish my dinner which is what happens when you don’t have anyone monitoring the length of eating time. What? I like to be well-digested!
