I know, I know. I’m probably supposed to be eating granola or trail mix, especially after going rock climbing. But sometimes, the situation calls for McDonald’s fries. It probably also calls for a chocolate milkshake, but our local McDonalds has some sort of beef against us getting our desired frozen beverages. Someday I’ll get to try the Shamrock Shake!
McDonalds has somehow become my extreme sports meal of choice. My friend Chris and I usually stop for a McDonald’s breakfast combo meal before we head to the mountain. He gets my extra hash brown, because c’mon, the fried area to potato ratio is totally messed up.
After a long day of boarding, sometimes we hit up McD’s on the way home. Mostly that’s because it’s the only place within like 20 miles.
So maybe after rock climbing, we get a few fries. I think I was still on an adrenaline high, because I’m not sure I could lift my arms to my face like that right now…

I need to stop writing these posts when I’m 3/4 of the way to being asleep. They sort of stop making sense at the end…
I believe the McDonald’s by the Woodley Park red line station has Shamrock Shakes when they’re in season.
You went climbing again! And Simmie, I love Shamrock Shakes so I drive everywhere to find them. They were hard to find in DC last year but I did it, so we will def be getting a shamrock shake for you this year!!
You’ve never had a shamrock shake?! I believe I had FOUR this past season. They are amazing.
