I got up early this morning and took my freezing cold butt up to Baltimore to run the 5K of the Baltimore Running Festival. I’m a big fan of this race and I have run in it for the past 5 years. This year was the 5K, the last three years have been as a leg of a relay team, and the first year I ran the half marathon. It’s a fun race because there are a ton of people, lots of crowd support, and awesome swag. Under Armour is one of the sponsors so every year you get a nice Under Armour running shirt. Totally worth it.
While I did not sign up for this race with anyone, there were a number of RBSPers on the course. I found a couple of them before the race so we hung out and froze our butts off together as the marathon and relay teams started. We each ran at our own pace and spread out a bit, but we found each other at the end to celebrate our return to fitness after months of fried chicken, BBQ, and oh-so-many frozen beverages.
