I had an awesome picture for you guys today. But then I lost the subject before I could take the picture. Bummer.
After work, as I was driving home, I decided on a whim to…go vote. That’s right, early voting is totally a thing now. And it’s awesome. Check if your state has it, and go vote! If not, go vote on November 6th.
Early voting is a new thing for me, but something I’m glad to take advantage of. Unfortunately you miss out on some of the excitement of Election Day, but not having to get up insanely early and stand in a really long line, or wait until the evening and stand in an even longer line is pretty great. I sort of aimlessly drove towards where I thought the early voting center was and I knew I stumbled upon it when I saw approximately 23035803 signs on the lawn in front of it.
My awesome picture was going to be of my jumbo voting sticker that said, “I voted!” in both English and Spanish. But then I had to go and lose the sticker. Darn it.
So instead you get a picture of some of the oodles of Halloween candy we have left over.

Leftover candy you say? That’s right. Because I bought a jumbo bag of candy at BJ’s Wholesale Club the other day to hand out to the handful of trick-or-treaters we get here. Last year I think we got six. Then, before Halloween even rolled around, I realized that we weren’t going to be home for the trick-or-treaters. Which means I bought an enormous bag of candy for ourselves.
While we were home courtesy of Sandy, I started picking through our bag of candy. Let’s just say it’s been a Happy Halloween for me!
