I started working on a big cake I’m making for this weekend. I have to make four 14″ inch cakes so I’m doing it in stages. My new go to chocolate cake recipe has a bit fewer eggs than my old recipe, coming in at only 8 eggs for these two cakes instead of the usually 14-16. Seriously. We don’t mess around over here.
I oddly like this photo even though it’s just a bunch of eggs shells in a carton. I changed the balance on the picture to give it a cooler feeling (as in not warm, not as in awesome), but I think it just makes the eggs look really crisp. It’s kind of hard to believe I’m only 26 days from the end of this project. I’m not sure that my photography has improved all that much, but I surprised myself with how consistant I’ve become with the blogging. It’s not always the most interesting, but it’s something.
