Purim is coming this weekend which means in hamantaschen time. I love these cookies. I’m not sure if I love them because I only make them once a year so they’re special, or if I like them because I love poppyseed filling and this is how I’ve best figured out to use that filling.
It took me a few tries, but I eventually figured out to get my hamantaschen to not end up a big bubbly mess. Here’s the recipe.
Now, whenever I bake, I always set aside the best looking cookie/brownie/slice of cake to photograph. This morning I set aside two perfect looking hamantaschen to take a picture of tonight. When I got home, this is what I found.
Dang it. Perhaps I should have left a note telling Andrew not to eat those two?
To make up for it, he did make one of my favorite dinners.
Korean food is awesome.
