In the few weeks before we moved, we kind of stopped cooking. I think we justified it by saying that we were packing or that we wanted to get a few last meals at our favorite take out places (nevermind the fact that we moved 10 minutes up the street from where we used to live), but really we were just lazy.
So now that we’re almost settled in our new house, it’s time to stop being lazy. One of the things that Andrew was most excited about when we moved here was the fact that we have a patio that he can grill on. Grilling wasn’t really an option at our old place because it involved standing in the middle of the street while smoke was blowing towards our neighbor’s house and trying to see in the dark.
Today was the inaugural use of the grill at the new house. Andrew hasn’t lost his touch. He grilled up some chicken and made us a pasta salad for dinner. It was scrumptious. I can’t wait to see what else Andrew cooks me for dinner!
