The random reunions keep coming! Tonight I was able to meet up with my old friend Elizabeth. We went to high school together, but it really wasn’t until after we graduated that we really bonded. Elizabeth has a habit of coming to visit me when I have only lived in that place for a very short period of time. She came to visit me at Cornell when I had been there for about a week and a half. She came to visit me in Baltimore after I have lived there for less than a month. There’s nothing really wrong with that, except by that time I have generally only figured out which light switch controls which light, nevermind having any sort of idea of what to show a guest.
This time she’s in town and I have some actually helpful suggestions to give her. I’m heading out of town tomorrow, so we were only able to meet up for a short while this evening. It was good to catch up with her and get the scoop on her life from the past few months. She’s got a few more days in the city, but unfortunately I won’t get to see her again before she heads back up to MA. Glad I got to catch you for a little while!
