Two of my best friends got married today!!
It was such a wonderful, awesome, exhausting, and totally fun day! They got married at the Baltimore Museum of Industry and it was totally cool. Andrew and I have been in on all the details for a while now, so it was exciting to see all that hard work come together for a truly memorable evening.
Jen and I have been friends since the first days off college. We were friends throughout all of school and when I moved to Baltimore after graduation, she was living in DC. That first year, I would drive down to DC almost every week to hang out with her. A few years later I was planning on hanging out with her and Melissa in the city and when I got there, they told me we were going to a birthday party. Melissa had to leave early to study for law school, but it was later that evening that I met Andrew. And Jen met Evan. And the rest is history.
Andrew was a groomsman for the wedding and I was a bridesmaid. I also made the cake and officiated their wedding. Officiating a wedding is not something I ever thought would be in my wheelhouse, but now that I’ve done it, it’s a life experience I’m glad I’ve had. Also, to be able to officiate the wedding of two of my closest friends was such an honor.
The entire day and evening was so much fun. I got to catch up with a lot of old friends that I hadn’t seen in a long time and some good friends who don’t live so close anymore. Elise came in all the way from California!
Congratulations Jen and Evan!
