This morning I got in a couple of hours to hit the slopes. And oh, did I hit them. Literally. Because it’s probably been four years since I snowboarded and I definitely didn’t have my legs. There were a couple of big wipeouts that made me really glad I had a helmet.
It was snowing and actually cold this morning which made for some rough trips up the ski lifts and on my last run of the morning, left me with a bloody nose (which you can kind of see in that picture because apparently I had a bloody nose half way down the mountain but didn’t notice until I got to the bottom).
My trip back want without excitement as my first flight somehow arrived at the airport early but wouldn’t let us get off the plane for so long that I had to run to make my connection. And because I’m me, this meant that I had a TV quality trip and fell flat on my face while a ninety of disinterested travelers watched.
Hopefully I get home before 2:30 in the morning and don’t trip up our front steps, which at this point just seems likely.
