Mel, Steph I, and I met up for our monthly dinner tonight in the Columbia Heights neighborhood. We had dinner at a Cuban restaurant called Mi Cuba Cafe, upon the suggestion from Steph. I used to frequent that neighborhood a lot when Jen and Melissa lived there, but I had never been to this restaurant. Mmm…it was good! Steph and I shared a Cuban sandwich and some Ropa Veija which I gobbled up in a hurry (well, as much in a hurry as I am capable of), while we chatted about our recent goings-on. The three of us have been hitting up the wedding circuit as of late and between work and trips, we never have a shortage of conversation topics.
The monthly dinners are spectacular. Not only is it great to see Steph and Mel, but we’re going on a culinary tour of DC. Each time we meet, someone else picks the restaurant and considering we’re all a bit spread out, we get to try new places and new foods. And so far, I have’t been disappointed. I’m excited to keep adding to the list!
