This evening we went over to Jen and Evan’s for Sunday Night Dinner. It was a deliciously simple meal with two kinds of marinated chicken, two kinds of rice, brussel sprouts, and asparagus. Now that I’ve typed that, it doesn’t sound that simple, but I guess I meant the food was prepared in a simple manner, despite there being so many options.
This capped off a whirlwind day that had me driving up and down Maryland before heading to Virginia for dinner. It started with an early morning derby practice that got canceled because no one ever showed up to let us into the rink. It was a total bummer, especially to the dozen or so volunteers who showed up to help ref the scrimmage and ended up having an hour and a half of their morning wasted.
After coming home from the aborted derby practice, Andrew and I headed up to Frederick to finally meet baby Lucy! She’s tiny and adorable and was sleeping the entire time we were there. We stayed for a few hours and then headed home where I fell asleep on the couch until it was time to go to dinner. I promptly fell asleep in the car and slept the whole way to dinner. It was a delightful evening as always and a good way to cap off the weekend. I still pooped though, so this should be an interesting way to start off the week.
