Mid-week date night started with pizza at Giuseppe’s in Rockville. I’m a big fan of their pizza.
It’s the 30th anniversary of The Breakfast Club. Andrew had never seen it before (what?) so we went a special showing of it at our local theater. Instead of previews they had interviews with the cast and other people about the movie. They totally gave away the whole story, but as Andrew said, “The jurisdiction on spoilers is probably less than 30 years.”
Post-bout visit to Good Stuff Eatery. Andrew got a weird orange milkshake (or frappe as we like to call them up in MA). My team, the DC DemonCats won and played one of our best games of the season. So awesome.
Went for my first run of 2015. My knee felt fine. The rest of me was in pain.
We went climbing this week. Andrew and I met at the gym after work and showed up in the same outfit. We need to plan this better in the morning.
Mike and Erin met us for a sushi dinner. This makes two times in less than a month! We thought we ordered too much, but we polished it off pretty well (except for the Philadelphia rolls we accidentally ordered. Cream cheese in sushi is weird.)
Always enjoy a good seaweed salad though.
This is my new go-to lazy meal. Avocado on toast. My derby team love avocado. I’m learning to like them.
I made a brisket. It’s topped with caramelized onions. The onions I bought were huge! (That is a normal-sized raspberry for scale.)
All the garlic popped out of the brisket while it was cooking.
