Um yes. Cold day + warm pulled pork + a myriad of BBQ sauces to sample is the best.
This was actually from two weeks ago. Elise was visiting and wanted to meet Owen, so we bundled up and headed down to Jen and Evan’s for Sunday Night Dinner. Whenever we are given a precise time of when dinner is going to be ready, we know that means dinner is being made in the slow cooker. What we’re actually having is almost always a surprise, but by the time we got there, I was SO hungry that it almost didn’t matter.
But Jen and Evan totally pulled through. The pulled pork came out tender and moist and the tangy BBQ sauce was exactly what I wanted. It was a pleasant low-key way to kick off the week (which ended up starting with a snow/ice storm).
