Can one have too many donuts in his or her life? I come from the land of Dunkin’ Donuts. My hometown has nine Dunkin’ Donuts. NINE. And the crazy thing is that we actually have other donut shops besides Dunkin’ Donuts. Apparently Haverhill has a really big need for coffee.

Anyways…Elise came back from New York today! She decided to stay up there for a few extra day, probably to escape Andrew and my weirdness. Really, we’re really weird. Oh, and she got to hang out with her family. But mostly she was avoiding our weirdness.

On her way back she stopped at The Fractured Prune, and picked up a half a dozen donuts. I’ve never been there, but I’d heard all about it from people from around here. Apparently they used to be quite prevalent, but the numbers have dwindled. I think I know of two that have closed since I’ve lived in the area, so my chances of actually making it to one seem to be slimming.

Apparently when you walk in, they glaze and dip the donuts to order which is pretty cool. Elise got (clockwise from top left) a Strawberry Shortcake donut, a Morning Buzz donut, Chocolate Covered Cherry donut, an Orange Chocolate donut, a Banana Nut Bread donut, and a Blueberry Hill donut. I think.

I know what I’m having for breakfast…
