I think I’m getting into the swing of things around here. I’m getting used to the two or three showers a day and starting to figure out my way around.
This morning I got up and met up with a few people to do some yoga. Before this, I’ve had exactly three yoga experiences before in my life.
The first one I spent laughing the entire time. Judging by the amount of dirty looks I got, I’m guessing that’s not exactly welcome.
The second one was so simple and so easy that I fell asleep during the class. I guess I came out more rested?
The third one was at my work and it was challenging and quite a workout. It really changed my mind about yoga.
This fourth yoga class was great! We had an amazing place to practice. We practiced on an outdoor patio overlooking the coastline. Between the view, the cool ocean breeze, and the sounds of birds chirping as we bent and stretched and twisted and balanced, I felt like we were in a yoga video. It was seriously awesome.
We bookended the day with some beach volleyball in the evening. Turns out my generalization about how bad I am ball sports still stands. But it was a lot of fun. Maybe after a summer of this, I’ll be able to actually hit the ball over the net.
And because bad things come in threes, I totally sliced my toe open tonight on the door to my room. At this point, I’m not sure I should even leave the house. Maybe I can just cocoon myself in blankets and other soft objects until it’s time to leave. Seriously, where’s my good karma? Haven’t I paid my dues?

How are you going to have a thoe now?? I guess you need to replace your injured thumb with your uninjured toe and your injured toe with your uninjured thumb. That will solve all of your problems.
The photo of the sky is awesome. Thanks for sharing it. I hope your toe is better.
