Did a little Orlando exploring after work today. Turns out there’s more than just Mickey Mouse and Pluto in that city. Turns out, people actually live there! What?!
We’ve got a big birthday coming up on the team and I promised her I’d make a cake. Conveniently I didn’t actually bring any of my cake decorating supplies with me, so I had to stock up. I looked up the closest supply store and it came up with D&G Occasions in Orlando. Holy heck, that place is awesome! It’s like a giant never-ending, cake, candy, and party supply store. And their prices were rock bottom. I’m just going to go there to stock up on stuff before I leave.
After wandering the aisles for awhile, I started to head back to Cocoa Beach to see if I could meet up with some people for dinner. After only making it about three miles in a half hour, I decided it was a hopeless cause. BUT, since I was in Orlando, I pulled out the trusty phone and was able to find a good place to eat not too far away.
That’s right. In the land of mediocre fish and endless grill places, I found a Korean restaurant! Shin Jung Korean Restaurant did not disappoint. Sadly, it’s a bit longer than the 10 minute walk to a Korean place from back home (more like an hour and 15 minutes), but it was still delicious. I filled up on some hot stone pot bipbimbap and got an extra dish to go. Lunch tomorrow is going to be awesome.
Ok, time to try out the new pillow and see if it prevents me from feeling like my head is going to fall off in the morning!
