The weather here is nuts. For the last two weeks it’s been raining nearly everyday. We finally got a reprieve from the rain this weekend and have had sunny skies since. However, in a flash, the weather can change. It went from clear and sunny to dark and stormy in about four minutes. No joke. (For real, could that cloud look any scarier?)
The next twenty minutes found me huddled on the couch as lightning flashed and thunder clapped so close I swear my condo was shaking.
In other news, I came straight home today in order to get a jump on baking some cakes for a birthday cake I need later this week. Predictably I fell asleep on the couch before I could start baking the cakes. When I woke up, I searched my website to find that apparently I’ve never posted my chocolate cake recipe, (geez, what kind of blog am I running around here?) so then spent the following 35 minutes looking for a suitable recipe.
I’m sure you’re glad to know I found one and the cakes are baked and cooling as we speak. (I can hear your sigh of relief now.)
