Thanks to Betsy I am no longer off the grid phone wise. She has graciously let me borrow her old phone until my new one comes. It was a trip and a half getting it to work involving many steps including me wishing I had just pretended to be my mother, calling my mother at work (I seriously thought she was going to kill me for that), and then straight up telling the Verizon lady she did not solve my problem, thank you very much. I don’t know what happens to me when I talk to internet and phone and cable providers, but some deep down, buried, aggressiveness bubbles up to the surface and I become very direct. I think the Verizon lady was a little taken aback (I must admit, she was very gracious and polite and definitely went out of her way to help me….she just didn’t solve my problem) when I told her I was not satisfied.
However, after a 45 minute trip to the Verizon store, I now have a functioning phone. So, thanks Betsy!
Hmm…this story was sort of a letdown. I guess everyday can’t be exciting.
